Art on idle desktops

Idle Screenings, a free app for Mac and Windows, beams video art straight to the desktop every month. Reminiscent of the screensavers of the 1990s, this app aims to entertain and educate users on art. But screensavers are energy guzzlers – will users opt for strange art over energy conservation?
